Virtual Cyber Training Ranges

January 12, 2021 | Cybersecurity

Training in a current and post Covid-19 world could look a lot different. One such difference is the expansion cyber learning. For the US and Australia, that will soon expand to a new training range as well.

The two countries recently announced an agreement to develop a join-use cyber training range called Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE). PCTE supports the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) as a part of the US military’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture. The purpose of the training platform is to help ready troops for operations at the individual, team, and force level. It is also “the first cyber-only arrangement” between the US Army and a close Allied nation.

Cyber Training is becoming an important part of military readiness.
