Job Description:

We are seeking a Telephone Control Operator (TCO) to join our growing team for an upcoming IT/Cyber Security contract based out of Bahrain. The position is contingent upon contract award.

As the Telephone Control Operator, you will issue, manage, maintain, inventory, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and track all of the Government’s unclassified and secret cellular telephones (e.g., Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy cellular phones).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all U.S. Government-owned smart phones, iridium satellite phones and secure sleeves, tablets, and associated equipment that supports, satellite, GSM and CDMA technologies to meet the maritime mission

  • Input Telecommunications Service Requests (TSR) in to DISA Storefront and discontinue services as needed

  • Assist the Government with resolving secure mobility billing discrepancies from Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), secure mobile service provider

  • Assist the Government in ensuring that all related agreements with suppliers and/or vendors support the direct needs of the Government and that all suppliers and vendors meet their commitments


Material & Equipment Directly Used:

  • Navy classified and unclassified C4ISR computer systems and ONE-NET


Working Environment:

  • Candidate will work primarily in computer facilities at Naval commands in an office or computer equipment room environment

  • Work outside of normal work week hours will be required to participate in meetings, troubleshooting efforts, and installations or upgrades


Physical Activities:

  • Personnel may be required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Individual must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of installed computer and network equipment


Job Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Pre-employment drug screening

  • Active DoD TS/SCI (eligible) Security Clearance

  • IAT Level II Certification (per DoD Inst 8750.1 and Navy guidance) required

  • CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND or SSCP with IA and CE required

  • 5+ years’ experience with Navy or DoD Networks (SIPRNET, NIPRNET)

  • 5+ years’ experience with smart phones, iridium satellite phones and secure sleeves, tablets, and associated equipment that supports, satellite, GSM and CDMA technologies

  • Provide technical experience of command smart phones, iridium satellite phones, secure sleeves, tablets, and associated equipment

  • Knowledge of military C2 architectures

  • Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with senior Navy / DoD officials and technical personnel

  • Candidate must be able to provide training as needed
